Description
RA and MS development is intertwined with multiple factors, especially cytokines. IL-6 works as a pleiotropic factor by differentiating naïve CD4 T cells to Th17 cells, inducing pathogenic B cells to produce auto-antibodies and increasing the permeability of BBB. Including IL-6, most of these cytokines cooperate with synergism, promoting higher secretion of each factor or aggravating inflammation together.
