An editable high resolution scientific image depicting SCF-FBXW7 complex E3 ligase complex mediates the ubiquitination degradation of oncogenic substrates.

Description

FBXW7 (F-box and WD repeat domain containing 7) is a member of the F-box protein family. F-box proteins are one of the four subunits of the SCF (SKP1-cullin-F-box) complex, along with the adaptor protein Skp1 , Cullin-1 , and Rbx1, collectively forming the SCF-FBXW7 E3 ubiquitin ligase complex. FBXW7 can mediate the degradation of various important oncoproteins such as c-Myc, Notch1, cyclin E, JUN, and mTOR through the ubiquitin-proteasome system, thereby regulating many biological processe.
