The relationship between genetic and environmental factors in immune dysregulation of AD
Description
Environmental and genetic factors, immune response, skin microbiota dysbiosis, and epidermal barrier disruption are major risk factors for Alzheimer's Disease (AD). Th2-produced cytokines IL-4 and IL-13 trigger chronic and acute phases. Environmental variables, chronic skin inflammation, and epidermal barrier dysfunction contribute to AD pathogenesis. Null mutations in the filaggrin gene are the strongest known genetic risk factor.
