Anti-Fungal Compound Identification From Host-Associated Bacteria
Description
This template outlines a nine-step workflow for identifying antifungal compounds from plant host-associated bacteria, beginning with collection of exophytes and endophytes and culturing of bacteria, followed by bacterial identification with 16S-rDNA sequencing. After co-culturing bacteria with fungus to select strains with antifungal activity, the bacteria are cultured again, and compounds are separated by silica gel chromatography and identified using HPLC, LC-MS, and NMR before antifungal property assessment.
