Canonical OxPhos Model for Insulin Secretion
Description
This template shows the canonical oxidative phosphorylation (OxPhos) model for insulin secretion, in which glucose entering through GLUT transporters fuels oxidative phosphorylation in the mitochondrion, raising the cytosolic ATP/ADP ratio. This closes K-ATP channels and opens Ca2+ channels, triggering glucose-stimulated insulin secretion.
