Cicada's Life Cycle
Description
This template shows the cicada life cycle as a circular sequence around a tree, beginning with egg-laying in twigs, nymph hatching, nymphs falling and burrowing 6 to 18 inches into soil, feeding on root nutrition for 13 or 17 years, emerging when soil reaches 65 degrees Celsius, molting into a white adult, and calling to attract mates before laying eggs again. Each stage is depicted with a small circular image of the corresponding cicada form.
