Drosophila Toll Pathway
Description
This template shows the Drosophila Toll pathway, in which cleavage of Pro-Spätzle by SPE/Easter produces Spätzle, which binds the Toll receptor and triggers a MyD88-Tube-Pelle signaling complex. This leads to phosphorylation and degradation of Cactus, releasing the NF-kB transcription factors DIF or Dorsal to translocate into the nucleus and activate transcription of the antimicrobial gene Drosomycin.
