An editable high resolution scientific image depicting Endogenous hydrogen sulphide production pathways in cancer

Description

Endogenous H2S generation in mammalian systems is mediated by a variety of enzymes. Cystathionine β-synthase (CBS) and cystathionine γ-lyase (CSE) produce H2S in the cytosol, while 3-mercaptopyruvate sulfurtransferase (3MST) largely produces H2S in mitochondria. These routes mostly make use of L-cysteine as a precursor. The enzymes CBS and CSE directly convert L-cysteine into H2S, whereas 3MST acts in combination with cysteine aminotransferase (CAT)
