Endopeptidase vs. Exopeptidase
Description
This template compares two types of peptidases: endopeptidases, which hydrolyze peptide bonds in the middle of a peptide chain to produce peptide fragments, and exopeptidases, which hydrolyze bonds at the ends of a peptide chain to release free amino acids along with a peptide fragment. Cleavage sites are marked with red arrowheads on each peptide chain.
