Establishing Drug Resistant Cells
Description
In this diagram (A), the timeline is outlined, while (B) visually represents establishing drug-resistant cell models. Drug-naive parental cells are exposed to a relatively low dose of the drug (e.g., IC50). Afterward, the drug is removed to let them recover their vitality. This process takes about 2 weeks, followed by cycles using the newly determined IC50 dose. This can span 8-12 months, leading to the development of drug-resistant cells.
