How Greenhouses Work
Description
This template shows how greenhouses work using five numbered steps, short infrared waves from the sun pass through the glass and heat the ground, then longer infrared waves radiated from the warmed ground cannot pass back through the glass. The trapped heat causes the air inside to rise and warm the greenhouse, while only some long waves escape to the atmosphere, illustrated on a glass greenhouse containing rows of tomato plants.
