Immune Response Against Pathogens
Description
This figure explains the immune response against pathogens when they enter the human body. Macrophages detect pathogens and engulf them through phagocytosis. Inside the macrophage, the pathogen is broken down, and antigen fragments are presented on MHC class II molecules. This activates T-helper cells, which in turn stimulate B cells. The B cells differentiate into plasma cells, producing antibodies that neutralize the pathogens.
