MDA5 Detection of Cytosolic dsRNAs
Description
This template shows how the cytosolic sensor MDA5 detects double-stranded RNA from viruses, poly I:C, or endogenous sources through its helicase and CARD domains. Once activated, MDA5 binds the mitochondrial adaptor MAVS, which signals through IRF3 and TBK-1 to induce transcription of type I interferon response genes in the nucleus.
