Measurement of Blood Pressure: The Auscultatory Method
Description
This template shows the auscultatory method of blood pressure measurement in three steps, starting with inflating a cuff around the arm to stop blood flow, then listening for arterial sounds as the cuff deflates to record systolic pressure, and finally noting when sounds disappear to record diastolic pressure. A cuff pressure gauge and systolic and diastolic readings of 120 and 80 mm Hg are shown for each step.
