Mechanism of Non-Homologous End-Joining of Double-Strand Breaks
Description
This template shows the non-homologous end-joining pathway for repairing DNA double-strand breaks, starting with Ku70/80 binding the broken DNA ends, followed by recruitment of DNA-PKcs to form the DNA-PK holoenzyme. Additional factors including MRN, CtIP, and Artemis process the ends before the Ligase 4, XRCC4, and XLF complex ligates the strands into a repaired DNA break.
