MHC Class I and II Pathways
Description
This template compares the MHC class I and MHC class II antigen presentation pathways in an antigen presenting cell. The MHC I side shows a cytosolic protein processed by the proteasome into peptides loaded via TAP, while the MHC II side shows an extracellular protein processed through the endosome and loaded after removal of the invariant chain, with both pathways ending in peptide-MHC expression on the cell surface.
