Micronucleus Formation from Whole Chromosome Loss
Description
This template shows five stages of mitosis, from prophase through cytokinesis, tracking a cell where a microtubule-kinetochore malfunction causes a chromosome to lag behind during anaphase. This lagging chromosome becomes enclosed in its own micronucleus, resulting in one daughter cell with a normal nucleus and one with an extra micronucleus.
