Minimum Inhibition Concentration for Antimicrobials
Description
Minimum Inhibition Concentration assay shows a series of dilutions of the antimicrobial agent, and each dilution is exposed to the microorganism of interest. The concentration at which no visible growth of the microorganism occurs is considered the MIC. The MIC is an important measure in microbiology and antimicrobial susceptibility testing, providing information about the effectiveness of an antimicrobial agent against a particular pathogen.
