Models of interactions between effectors and plant resistance proteins (NLRs)
Description
This figure illustrates the types of interactions between effector molecules of plant pathogens and plant resistance proteins i.e. NLRs (Nucleotide binding leucine rich repeats). The figure depicts the molecular basis of host-pathogen interaction governing resistance. Direct interaction depicts direct binding of effector molecules with NLR proteins whereas guard and decoy model represent indirect interaction. Integrated decoy model represents a combination of direct and indirect recognition.
