An editable high resolution scientific image depicting Negative Feedback in Molecular Stress Signaling

Description

This template shows the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, where the hypothalamus releases CRH to stimulate the pituitary gland's ACTH release, which in turn triggers adrenal cortex secretion of cortisol. Cortisol binds a glucocorticoid receptor complex with FKBP51 or FKBP52 that translocates to the nucleus and induces FKBP5 transcription, and it also feeds back to inhibit the hypothalamus and pituitary gland in a negative feedback loop.
