Overlap Extension PCR
Description
Overlap PCR is a technique used in molecular biology to create DNA sequences that are not readily available through traditional methods like cloning or PCR amplification of a single template. This method involves amplifying two or more DNA fragments in separate PCR reactions with primers that contain overlapping regions. These overlapping regions allow the fragments to anneal to each other during subsequent PCR cycles, resulting in the generation of a single, contiguous DNA molecule.
