Description:

This template compares two pathways for pri-miRNA generation from a stretch of genomic DNA containing two genes and an intergenic space. In the intronic pathway, RNA polymerase II transcribes a gene containing exons and introns into a pri-miRNA hairpin, while in the intergenic pathway, polymerase II transcribes the intergenic region directly into a pri-miRNA hairpin.
