Retinal Disease and Regeneration
Description
This template compares a diseased retina, such as in age-related macular degeneration or glaucoma, where retinal pigmented epithelium cells, photoreceptors, and retinal ganglion cells degenerate and cause vision loss, to a regenerated retina achieved through cell therapy or in vivo reprogramming. The regenerated panel shows replacement of retinal cell types and genetic reprogramming of Muller glial cells into retinal ganglion cells to restore vision.
