Description:

In ribosomal stalling, a ribosome gets "stuck" on the mRNA transcript during translation. This causes other ribosomes to collide with the stalled ribosome and prevents them from continuing to transcribe the mRNA sequence. Ribosomal stalling is thought to regulate the transcription of some proteins.
