Description:

This template shows the six steps of the RNA interference mechanism, beginning with double-stranded RNA formation and its cleavage by Dicer into small fragments. The resulting siRNA is loaded into the RISC complex, which binds complementary mRNA, cleaves it at a specific site, and leads to its degradation in the cell.
