Rodent Transcardial Perfusion Protocol
Description
This template shows a four-step rodent transcardial perfusion protocol: cutting the abdominal wall and axilla to expose the chest, cannulating the left ventricle and transecting the inferior vena cava for drainage, perfusing with phosphate buffered saline for 3 minutes until blood clears, and perfusing with paraformaldehyde for 50 minutes once the tail curls. Each step is paired with an illustration of the rodent and the connected PBS and PFA bottles.
