Spleen Response to Inflammation
Description
This template shows how tumor-derived apoptotic cells from a peripheral trauma or inflammation site travel through circulation to the spleen. In the spleen, marginal zone macrophages and CD8α+ dendritic cells release IL-10, IDO, 12/15 LO, PD-L1, and TGFβ, which promote regulatory T cells and suppress TRAIL+ CD8 T cells, leading to tolerance induction.
