Description
This template shows the process of pre-mRNA splicing, starting with an RNA transcript containing exon 1, an intron, and exon 2, which is bound by an assembling spliceosome made of snRNPs. The spliceosome removes the intron as a lariat-shaped excised intron structure, leaving a mature mRNA composed of exon 1 joined directly to exon 2.
