Description
This template shows how plasmacytoid dendritic cells present self-antigen from CAMP-nucleotide complexes to CD8+ T cells, driving expansion of TH1, TH22, and TH17 cells in the dermis of psoriasis lesions. Activated T cells and keratinocytes release IL-22, IL-17, and TNF, recruiting neutrophils, mast cells, and macrophages and increasing vascular adhesion factors that produce the characteristic psoriatic skin lesions.
