Description
A patient's serum containing alloantibodies is mixed with donor RBCs containing the high prevalence antigen reacting with the patient's alloantibodies. The coated RBCs are then incubated with a monolayer of monocytes from a normal donor. Monocytes will interact with the coated RBCs and phagocytize a significant number of them.
