Uniparental Disomy (UPD) After Maternal Nondisjunction in Meiosis I
Description
This template shows two pathways for uniparental disomy arising from maternal nondisjunction in meiosis I, trisomy rescue starting from a disomic oocyte and monosomy rescue starting from a nullisomic oocyte, each fertilized by a haploid sperm. Trisomy rescue can resolve into biparental inheritance or maternal heterodisomy after loss of one homologue, while monosomy rescue resolves into paternal isodisomy after chromosome duplication.
