Description: Participants are split into placebo and treatment groups. After peak drug effect, they sit for 30 minutes, wear a nasal-oral mask for 10 minutes, then inhale a gas mixture or air for 20 minutes. After a 10–30 minute rest, a second inhalation occurs. Researchers monitor participants, and the gas cylinders are kept out of view. The study is single-blind. Measurements are taken at baseline, during the peak inhalation effect, and after inhalations to assess outcomes.
