This figure was published in Jahan et al 2024 Evolution Letters and illustrated by Israt Jahan. The illustration shows an experimental plate for D. discoideum slug migration assay. Distance travelled by migrators towards light source was measured from the inoculation line. Spores from both migrator and non-migrator fruiting bodies were collected. Total spores produced on a plate was calculated by adding migrators and non-migrator spores.
