This Acceptable Use Policy is incorporated into BioRender’s Enterprise Subscription Agreement and Individual Terms of Service.
This Policy places certain restrictions on the content you can upload, the content you create, and how you use the Services.
BioRender reserves the right to determine whether content violates this Policy. We may update this Policy from time to time.
Why Do We Have this Acceptable Use Policy?
We created this policy to ensure that:
- the BioRender services are safe and enjoyable for all users, and
- BioRender can further our mission of making science accessible to all.
Harmful Content Restrictions
You agree not to upload content, create content, or use the Services, directly or indirectly, in any manner that:
Creates risk of harm to persons or property, including:
- Physical or mental harm, emotional distress, death, disability, or disfigurement to any person or animal
- Damage to or loss of property
Creates harmful or offensive conduct, including content that:
- Is harassing, abusive, racially or ethnically offensive, defamatory, or threatening
- Discriminates or incites discrimination based on race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, ancestry, national origin, or any other protected characteristic
- Is sexually gratuitous in nature
- Threatens or harms BioRender, its reputation, or its employees
Involves illegal or fraudulent activities, including:
- Sale or promotion of illegal products or services
- Fraudulent schemes or activities
- Any activities that violate applicable laws or regulations
Acceptable Use of BioRender Content
You may not:
- Use BioRender content in ways that compete with BioRender's business
- Use BioRender content in templates intended for distribution, resale, or commercial licensing, including but not limited to website templates, business card templates, greeting card templates, or similar products without authorization
- Allow any other party to access or use the Services with your unique username, password, or other security code
Content Integrity
You may not:
- Remove or alter watermarks, logos, copyright notices, or required citations
- Incorporate BioRender content in trademarks
- Misrepresent BioRender content ownership or origin
- Claim ownership of BioRender's content or any modifications, enhancements, or derivative works based on BioRender content
